"House of Games" (1987) was the film directing debut of Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Mamet. Lindsay Crouse plays a psychiatrist and best-selling author who becomes fascinated in the seamy world of con men. She decides she wants to write a new book about it. Through a patient she meets Mike (Joe Mantegna), a con artist who lets her see into his world. But is he scamming her? The film has become a cult favorite over the years.
